A useful test is to ask: <strong>&#8220;Are they doing this to each other?&#8221;<\/strong> If the answer is yes, the verb is being used with reciprocal meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is important to note that many reciprocal verbs are <strong>not always reciprocal<\/strong>. For example, <strong>help<\/strong> can be used both non-reciprocally (&#8220;The teacher helps the student&#8221;) and reciprocally (&#8220;The students help each other&#8221;).
